  • Spot the automatic stories that hijack us to think, feel and act in ways we wish we didn’t.

  • Replace those stories with better ones that allows us to meet challenges with curiosity, creativity, and peace.

Great relationships are made from being understood and appreciated. We practice speaking with clarity and authenticity to get to the heart of things.

 

  • Be an investigative journalist for your partner's world.

  • Share Appreciation, Affection & Admiration in intentionally consistent ways to build fun & respect.

  • Avoid the potent relationship killers of criticism, defensiveness, contempt, & stonewalling.

  • Communicate acceptance of partner’s personality, even if their wants and hopes for us might be different than the ones we have for ourselves.

  • Create an us-against-the-world dynamic.


Champion Dreams

Life is often too busy to focus on our hopes and desires for the future. We practice working together to make life-dreams come true.

 

  • Find the dream hidden inside a complaint.

  • Recognize solvable problems. Work around gridlock on perpetual issues.

  • Trade arguing about who’s right for exploring each other’s story.

  • Move from certainty about how things are to curiosity about why. Inquire about the info and interpretations that lead each of us to see the world as we do.

  • Recognize your ability to release resentment by separating it from the pursuit of justice and desire for reconciliation.
